Celebrating Lockie Arts, Recipient of the 2025 Regen Power Prize
Earlier this month, Curtin University’s School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences held its annual Prize Giving Ceremony – and it was a privilege to once again support the next wave of engineering talent through the Regen Power Prize.
This year’s recipient is Lockie Arts, recognised as the best performing graduate in Smart and Micro Grids within the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) program. The award was presented by Dr Nimsiri Abhayasinghe on 11 May.
Smart grids, microgrids and intelligent storage sit right at the heart of the transition we’re working towards every day – bringing solar, batteries and distributed energy together into a smarter, more resilient system for Western Australia. Seeing graduates like Lockie excel in this space is genuinely exciting for the industry.
A big congratulations to Lockie, and to all the students recognised on the night. Thank you to Kaylee Nicholas and the team at Curtin University for the opportunity to be part of the ceremony.
